Delete specific data categories or permanently remove your entire account

Overview

Invoice Maker Pro gives you full control over your data. You can choose to:

  • Delete specific data — Selectively remove individual data categories (invoices, estimates, clients, etc.) while keeping your account active.
  • Delete your entire account — Permanently remove your account and all associated data at once.

Both options delete data locally and from the cloud. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. Please export or back up any important documents before proceeding.

Option 1: Delete Specific Data

Remove individual data categories without deleting your account

About Data Management

The Data Management section in Settings lets you selectively delete specific types of data. This is useful when you want to clean up certain records — for example, removing all old invoices — without losing your account, business profile, or other data.

Each option shows the current count of records (e.g., "12 invoices") and requires a confirmation before deletion. Options with zero records are grayed out.

Open Settings

Launch Invoice Maker Pro and tap the Settings gear icon on the top-right corner of the Home screen.

Scroll to "Data Management"

Scroll down in Settings until you see the DATA MANAGEMENT section. It has a red heading and lists all deletable data categories with their current counts.

Tap the Category to Delete

Tap the data category you want to remove (e.g., "Delete All Invoices"). Categories with 0 records are grayed out and cannot be tapped.

This will permanently delete all 12 invoices. This action cannot be undone.

Confirm Deletion

A confirmation dialog will appear showing what will be deleted. Tap "Delete All" to confirm, or "Cancel" to go back. The data is removed both locally and from the cloud.

All 12 invoices have been permanently removed.

Deletable Data Categories

The following 7 data categories can be deleted individually from the Data Management section in Settings:

Option What Gets Removed
Delete All Invoices All invoices, including draft, sent, paid, and overdue invoices along with their line items, attachments, and signatures
Delete All Estimates All estimates and quotes, including draft, sent, approved, and rejected estimates
Delete All Clients All saved client records — names, emails, phone numbers, and addresses
Delete All Items All saved products and services from your catalog, including names, descriptions, and prices
Delete All Expenses All tracked expenses, including amounts, categories, vendor names, notes, and receipt attachments
Delete All Tax Rates All configured tax rates — names, percentages, and inclusive/exclusive settings
Delete All Data Removes everything above at once — all invoices, estimates, clients, items, expenses, and tax rates. Your account and business profile remain active.

Data Deletion is Permanent

When you delete a data category, all records are permanently removed both locally and from the cloud (Supabase). This action cannot be undone. Please export any important records before deleting.

Good to Know

  • "Delete All Data" is a comprehensive wipe that removes all user data but keeps your account active. Your login, business profile, and app settings are preserved.
  • Categories with 0 records appear grayed out and cannot be tapped.
  • Each option shows the current count (e.g., "12 invoices") so you know exactly how many records will be removed.
  • Every deletion requires a confirmation alert — nothing is deleted by accident.

Option 2: Delete Your Entire Account

Permanently remove your account and all data at once

About Account Deletion

If you want to completely remove your account and everything associated with it — including your login credentials, business profile, and all data — you can do so from the Account section in Settings. This goes beyond data deletion: your entire account is permanently removed.

Open Settings

Launch Invoice Maker Pro and tap the Settings gear icon. You can find it on the top-right corner of the Home screen or in the navigation menu.

Tap "Delete Account"

Scroll down to the Account section and tap the red "Delete Account" button. This option is only visible when you are signed in.

Confirm Account Deletion

A confirmation dialog will appear. Tap "Delete" to permanently delete your account and all data. Tap "Cancel" if you change your mind.

What Gets Deleted with Your Account?

When you delete your account, everything is permanently removed — including all 7 data categories listed above plus your account itself:

  • Account Information: Your name, email, and authentication credentials
  • Business Profile: Company name, logo, address, phone, email, and signatures
  • Invoices & Estimates: All invoices, estimates, and their associated data
  • Expense Records: All tracked expenses, receipts, and attachments
  • Client Data: All saved client names, contacts, and addresses
  • Items & Services: Your product/service catalog and pricing
  • Tax Rates: All configured tax rates and settings
  • Cloud Data: Any data synced to cloud storage
  • App Settings: All preferences, customizations, and configurations

All of these categories can also be deleted individually via the Data Management section in Settings without removing your account.

Account Deletion is Permanent

Account deletion is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, we cannot recover any of your data. Please export any important invoices, estimates, or reports before deleting your account.

Data Retention After Deletion

After you confirm any deletion (data or account):

  • Selected data is deleted immediately from our active systems, both locally and from the cloud.
  • Some anonymized analytics and crash report data may be retained for up to 12 months for product improvement, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Any residual data in backup systems will be purged within 30 days.

Can't Access the App?

If you are unable to access the app or your account to perform the deletion yourself, you can request data or account deletion by contacting us directly:

Please include the email address associated with your account and specify whether you want to delete specific data categories or your entire account. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm via email once complete.
